Simon Hudson is a singer-songwriter whose highly original music weaves a captivating blend of world, roots and folk, with influences including Carlinhos Brown, The Cat Empire, Jose Gonzalez, Neil Finn, and Paul Simon. Based in Melbourne, Australia, he’s toured throughout Europe, Latin America and Australia.

His latest single Magalenha launched globally (Oct 2024) on his label Songs & Whispers (Germany). Magalenha is a popular Brazilian dance-floor favourite, written by Carlinhos Brown and first performed by Sergio Mendes.

Previous releases include album Aguas Profundas (Deep Waters) (2023), genre-hopping EP Islands (2020), crowd-funded album Earthman (Aug 2016), and debut EP Time And Space (2012), a remarkable showcase of skilled songwriting, addictive roots rhythms and honest lyricism. His 7 international tours from 2014-2025 include Japan, Europe, Cuba & Brazil.
