Simon Hudson is a singer-songwriter whose highly original music weaves a captivating blend of world, roots and folk, with influences including Carlinhos Brown, The Cat Empire, Jose Gonzalez, Neil Finn, and Paul Simon.
Based in Melbourne, Australia, he’s toured throughout Europe, Brazil, Cuba and Australia, solo and with his band.

In 2020 Simon released the video clip for Your Boat, shot while in tour in Cuba. He will also release his upcoming EP Islands, including two singles, a video clip, and much much more!
In 2019 he returned to Cuba, performing in the internationally acclaimed Cubadisco festival. He also appeared on Cuban national television, on popular show Cuerda Viva, including three songs with his band and an interview. He also interviewed on radio station Radio Havana Cuba, which is broadcast throughout North and South America. Back in Melbourne, he finished off tracking on his next release, EP Islands.
In 2018 Simon launched his latest single Travelling Salesman. It’s an ode to the life of the touring musician – visiting many places with suitcase and guitar in hand, the hardest place to find is home. It’s the first single from his forthcoming album Islands due early 2020. He also toured to Cuba and Brazil, playing shows across both countries.
In 2017 Simon toured solo in Brazil, and with his 3-piece band in Europe, playing more than 40 shows across 10,000km in 3 countries.
In 2016 Simon launched his debut full-length album Earthman worldwide. Three singles were released, with funds for the album raised using Australian crowdfunder Pozible. The album was launched to critical acclaim at the famous Thornbury Theatre, Melbourne.
After the sold-out launch of his EP, Simon toured across Victoria and South Australia, playing festivals and rocking countless rooms full of happy punters. With radio airplay throughout Melbourne, Adelaide and Germany, he placed at number two on Triple J Unearthed roots chart. He also released the video clip for ‘Today’. Following that, he launched into his first European tour, including shows across Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
